MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. In Medellin the year of Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He the following year dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he sang a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is a product of a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. As a child, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. Though his original career plan was to be veterinarian but his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. This revolutionized his entire life.
